Itinerary Highlights – 9 Days Kerala & Tamil Nadu Tour

Day 1: Cochin – Alleppey (100 Kms)

Welcome to God's Own Country. Upon arrival, our representative will greet you at Cochin Airport and proceed to Alleppey. Stay at a pre-booked traditional Kerala Houseboat. Enjoy a welcome drink, lunch, tea snacks, and a scenic day cruise along the backwaters. Admire the lush paddy fields and islands while experiencing the lifestyle of the locals. Overnight stay in Houseboat.

Day 2: Alleppey – Thekkady (170 Kms)

After breakfast, drive to Thekkady. This hill station and wildlife sanctuary is a paradise for nature lovers. Check into the hotel and unwind. Visit Periyar National Park and enjoy a boat cruise on Periyar Lake. Optional activities include spice plantation tours, bamboo rafting, jungle trekking, and elephant rides. Visit the local spice market in the evening. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 3: Thekkady – Munnar (135 Kms)

After breakfast, proceed to Munnar. En route, visit the Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. On arrival, check into the hotel and relax. Spend the evening enjoying the cool climate and natural beauty. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4: Munnar Local Sightseeing (100 Kms)

After breakfast, explore Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Proceed to Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Echo Point, and Shooting Point. Also visit the Tea Museum and enjoy shopping for souvenirs. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 5: Munnar – Madurai – Rameswaram (320 Kms)

After breakfast, drive to Madurai to visit the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple. Later proceed to Rameswaram, a sacred town on Pamban Island. Visit the Rameswaram temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines. Overnight stay in Rameswaram.

Day 6: Rameswaram – Dhanushkodi (60 Kms)

After breakfast, visit Dhanushkodi, a ghost town near the Sri Lankan border, destroyed in the 1964 cyclone. Enjoy scenic views and historical remnants. Overnight stay in Rameswaram.

Day 7: Rameswaram – Kanyakumari (320 Kms)

After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari. Visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari Beach, Gandhi Memorial, and witness the sunset/sunrise point. Overnight stay in Kanyakumari.

Day 8: Kanyakumari – Kovalam (100 Kms)

After breakfast, head to Kovalam. En route, visit Poovar Island. Explore Trivandrum city: Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Kuthiramalika Palace, Napier Museum, and Trivandrum Zoo. Overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 9: Kovalam – Trivandrum Drop (30 Kms)

Enjoy breakfast. If time permits, en route visit Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls. Later, transfer to Trivandrum Airport for your flight. Your tour ends with wonderful memories of Kerala & Tamil Nadu!
